6. Why should I serve?

You might be wondering, “Why should I serve?”

Well, it helps you grow spiritually as a Christian!

Think of it this way…

Spiritual growth includes three simple steps.

1. Plug In to God and others through weekend services. You will discover a meaningful relationship with Christ and you will grow in spiritual development.
2. Charge Up to become like Christ through Small Group gatherings and First Wednesday services. Small Groups help people grow and develop as followers of Jesus by gathering on a regular basis for Bible study, prayer, support and encouragement. At First Wednesdays, the church family comes together for worship, teaching, communion, and to hear the vision for the church.
3. Live Out your faith by serving and giving back to God in your community or at Central’s Henderson or Summerlin campuses. Serving is a key component of faith; it’s what Jesus demonstrated numerous times in the Bible. Jesus had compassion for all people in His daily life and ministry. Jesus himself came to serve and we can grow more like Christ by serving His church and His people through our lives.

Serving is where you can live out your faith, and make a difference.

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:26 (NIV)
