Adventure Island

Adventure Island is where the adventure with God begins! Starting out with our youngest group of kids…infants and crawlers are loved on, cared for and prayed for each week as relationships and trust are built with parents.

Toddlers to two-year-olds engage in play at various activity centers where they learn about the wonderful world that God made for them. They begin to learn about friendship and what it means to be a good friend and that Jesus wants to be their friend, but most importantly that God created them special and that He loves them.

Three and four-year-olds are an active group of children. They join the adventure each week as they journey from one activity center to another in Small Groups of 4-6 children. They learn about God through weekly Bible stories and worship. They also begin memorizing monthly Bible verses.

Five and Six year olds have a Large Group experience and a Small Group experience. During check-in, children enter into the Large Group experience where they are instantly engaged in action-packed fun! It is in the Large Group experience that children are engaged in worship, Bible story time and games/action activities that utilize puppets, video clips and other multi-media experiences. Each week the Large Group experience is kicked off with our very own ‘theme’ song, This is Our Adventure. At the conclusion of the Large Group experience, children move into the Small Group experience, where children that are registered into a Small Group gather in groups of 6-8 children with the same leader each week. During this time relationships are built between the Small Group leader and children and between the children themselves. Bible stories are reviewed, memory verses are practiced, and craft activities are prepared. For children not assigned to a specific Small Group, we engage them in additional activities/games and worship before heading to assigned tables for craft time.
