Just as an artist has a picture in mind before they paint it, and a musician has a song in their thoughts before they write it, God had a clear picture of who He wanted you to be before you were ever born. That picture looks like looks a lot like Jesus, because God has created you to be like His Son, Jesus Christ. It doesn’t happen instantaneously … it takes time to grow.

When you come to believe in Jesus and are baptized into His name, it is not a finish line but the start of an exciting race. You are at the beginning of a lifelong journey leading to dramatic changes in your life here on earth and culminating in an eternal relationship with God in heaven.
